When I bought my truck back in '05. I was looking for a light bar that was not so intrusive in the looks department and especially easy in the installation department without any "modding/hacking" required. A few clicks on "Google" and I was sure I found a light bar I liked.

Made a phone call and the lady was more than generous in assisting me with what I wanted. I was excited as anyone would be in modding their truck. After a few minutes on the phone taking my information down, she told me there's bad news. She stated the bar is not in stock and there's a batch that is being powder coated right now. I told her, "sure no problem, just give me an ETA." If I remember correctly, she stated 1 week. I kind of chuckled. The one thing I was impressed with was that she stated they won't charge my CC until they ship the bar. Very good business practice. A lot of business nowadays are very nice and courteous over the phone, charge your CC, and fail to disclosed the product is not in stock.

Fast forward 1 week. I had instructed RED to ship it to my work. When UPS dropped it off I was appauled at the box it was in. I immediately open it up like a little child on Christmas morning. Low and behold. I asked myself "You gotta be kidding me?" There's more packing materials, bubble wrap, and foam in this box to keep an A Class destroyer floating. Very well packaging despite UPS using the box as a sled down the conveyor belt.

Instructions were very simple. Installation took me about an hour with simple handtools. No cutting, trimming, hacking required.

I want to thank RED for a well made product and service that make any customers come back.

FYI, I guess there were some issues that people were complaining about the bar. after months of being on my truck. I haven't noticed any movement or defects in the bar. But one day I received a phone call from the nice lady I had talked to months prior when ordering the bar. She stated there were some brackets she'd like to send out to retro-fit on the light bar to prevent any flexing and provide extra support. 2 days later I received the brackets. Again, instructions were clear and concise. I went and poked my head underneath the bar where it mounts to the chassis. I told myself "I'll install these brackets when I'm bored one day." 3 years later the brackets are still sitting in my garage collecting dust. :-) Powder coat still looks as new as the day I received it.
