DODGE 2500-3500 Light bar instructions On sport model trucks the light bar brackets may interfere with the bumper cover. The
bumper cover is molded plastic and all covers do not fit the same. Worst
case, the bracket will touch on the under side of the opening in the
bumper cover. If
installing on sport model truck the bumper can be realigned to minimize
interference.
1.
If your Dodge does not have factory tow hooks go to step 6. 2.
If your Dodge has factory tow hooks, remove the tow hooks. 3.
Locate your new light bar so the brackets will sandwich between the tow
hooks and the frame. NOTE: The light bar needs to be “rolled” into place by
inserting the lower end of the brackets into the opening first and “rolling”
it up into position. 4.
Re-install the tow hooks, using the factory tow hook bolts with the bolts
going through the tow hook, the light bar bracket and then the frame brackets.
Do not tighten. 5.
Align the light bar side to side until it is centered in the opening and
then tighten all hardware. 6.
If your dodge does not have the factory tow hooks remove the plastic
filler panels on each side of the opening in the middle of the bumper. NOTE:
Factory tow hooks and hardware can be purchased at your local Dodge dealership
if you would like to install tow hooks at this time. Tow hooks are not necessary
for the installation of the light bar. 7.
Notice the 4 holes in the frame on each side that line up with the light
bar brackets. 8.
Install the light bar using the supplied hardware. Do not tighten. NOTE:
The light bar needs to be “rolled” into place by inserting the lower end of
the brackets into the opening first and “rolling” it up into position. 9.
Align the light bar side to side until it is centered in the opening and
